ESPN’s Jalen Rose has put out a crazy call to action by asking people to stop using Mt. Rushmore as a measuring stick for success in metaphors because apparently it is “offensive.”

The current sports analyst and former NBA player posted a video to his Twitter account recently, demanding we take further steps in expanding the woke campaign to eliminate any Native American imagery and names from the entirety of professional sports.
“I want to continue to challenge myself and to challenge you to do something,” said Rose. “Can we retire using Mt. Rushmore? That should be offensive to all of us, especially Native Americans.”

Rose noted how the timing was appropriate since the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians scrapped their decades of heritage and history after online mobs and media campaigns pressured them into adapting new, socially acceptable names by removing any hint of Native American inspiration.
“The indigenous people, who were the first people here before Christopher Columbus. Their land was stolen from them when it was discovered that it contained gold,” Rose ranted. “And 25 years later, to add insult to injury, four American presidents were put on what we call Mt. Rushmore. On the top of the dead bodies that is buried right underneath.”

Rose continued, “So I call for you — and for myself, I’m in this too — let’s stop using the term Mt. Rushmore when we talkin’ about our favorite rappers, talkin’ about our favorite movies, we talkin’ about our favorite players.”
“I know you gonna see this video and I know you gonna take action,” he concluded.

Rose’s opinions are either formed by willful ignorance or sheer hatred for anything American. His claims are based on either distorted facts (yes, the land acquisition of the Black Hills where Mt. Rushmore is on has a controversial history) or outright lies, such as claiming there are graves and burial grounds on the land, which there are not.
