A 25-year-old transgender cheerleader has been expelled from a cheerleading camp after allegedly “choking out” a teammate that had reportedly made some transphobic remarks.

Averie Chanel Satchell, who was born a biological male named Dmontrey Duval Satchell and now identifies as a female, allegedly confronted and physically assaulted a 17-year-old minor named Karleigh (last name not currently available) at Ranger College cheerleading camp in Texas.

The Daily Mail reported that Satchell (who uses the last name Medlock on Facebook) claimed to have “only been joking with Karleigh,” alleging to being targeted on the grounds of “race and gender,” prompting the 25-year-old biological male to assault the teenager.
According to the outlet, police were called to the scene along with Karleigh’s father, Mike Jones, as Satchell was escorted out of the Ranger College campus and eventually kicked out of cheerleading camp.
Satchell had been accepted to the all-female cheer camp this past April. “First I wanna thank God, and Ranger college, and Ranger College cheer for this amazing opportunity,” Satchell had posted to his Facebook account. “I guess dreams really do come true! RANGER COLLEGE CHEERLEADER 22-23.”

“I ask you what you would have done when receiving a phone call at 1 o’clock in the morning from your daughter stating they had locked themselves in the room with other girls,” Karleigh’s father, who called the police, reportedly wrote on Facebook. “At no time did I ever say anything about your race or your gender.”
Not long after the alleged altercation between the 25-year-old man identifying as a woman and the 17-year-old teenage girl, Medlock posted an aftermath video on Facebook declaring that he was “only joking” and denying the allegations of physical assault.

“I never did anything mean to Karleigh,” Satchell claimed. “If anyone has a problem, come address it to my face like an adult and stop being a little scared b—h and let me know the problem,” Satchell seemingly threatened the girls behind the door.
Satchell then claimed that he “barely touched Karleigh,” further explaining, “It was a f—king joke, b—h” adding, “I never did anything mean to Karleigh.”

Satchell’s video was followed with the caption, “This is video evidence that I did not assault her there were witnesses around you can hear me knocking on the door and you can hear her calling me a man and saying that I have a penis and you can hear me apologizing sincerely!”
“Her father is going around saying that I choked her out and made her pass out clearly I couldn’t even get into the room to even touch her so Mr. Mike Jones get your facts straight thank you!!!!!”

Even more recently, Satchell would take to social media to vent out some frustrations, asking Facebook followers to “tag me in the videos /pictures / hospital reports that I chocked her ??!”
“Oh and the police report as well – mug shot and my name on the inmate list,” the 25-year-old man went on, adding, “calling mike Jones to the stand.”

In a since-deleted Facebook post, Satchell addressed the situation writing, “Well guys I’m officially retired as a cheerleader as of last night at 5:30 AM. A girl on the team was being very disrespectful and told me I am a MAN with a PENIS and that [guys] should not be on the team.”
“I stood up for myself and she called her mom and dad because she was scared because I [stood] up for myself. Her father said ‘she still has testosterone and a penis and I will kill anyone who comes after my daughter,'” the cheerleader declared.

In a statement issued following the alleged altercation, Ranger College stated that their institution “takes all allegations of this nature seriously and is committed to providing a learning environment free from discrimination.”
“At this time, Ranger College is following all applicable Title IX regulations and Board Policies,” the statement concluded.
It is also worth noting that after being escorted out of the campus, the police issued Satchell a criminal assault by physical contact citation.
