Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany is catching some attention after taking out her anger on NFL officials during last Sunday’s game.

Brittany Mahomes voiced her opinion on Twitter where she took umbrage to one of the hits her husband received during the Chiefs’ 30-24 overtime victory against the Houston Texans.

Halfway through the second quarter, Mahomes dropped the ball following the snap and the Texans’ Maliek Collins Sr. quickly pounced on him and whipped him to the ground. After getting smashed to the ground, Mahomes sat up and looked around for a penalty.

“I’m confused,” Brittany Mahomes tweeted during the game. “We are allowed to tackle quarterbacks like that now? Got it. The inconsistency is BS.”

“I’m tired of dirty hits,” she added.

Mahomes certainly wasn’t the only one who was angered after watching her husband get whip tackled like that. Fans also began to question Carl Cheffers’ officials regarding other controversial calls that were made in the second half of the game, such as the Texans’ scoring drive towards the third quarter in which the Chiefs received four penalties alone.

“May I remind you that the referee that did not throw a flag on a violent tackle against Patrick Mahomes is the same that called roughing the passer against Chris Jones when he was in the possession of the ball against the Raiders earlier this year?”, posted one Chiefs fan to Twitter.

“I have never seen the likes of how they tackle Patrick Mahomes but Chris Jones will have a clean sack and get flagged…” tweeted another fan. “Its a trend that I have noticed…”

During that period, the Chiefs received more penalties for pass interference and illegal contact which allowed the Texans to get even closer to the end zone.

The Chiefs ended the game with a total of 10 penalties for 102 yards. The Texans, on the hand, only had four penalties for 33 yards.

Post-game, Mahomes was asked about the sack and he said, “I haven’t seen it on tape or anything like that. I don’t really know what it looked like. What surprised me the most was I feel like I’m a pretty heavy dude and I feel like he threw me pretty easily there.”

He added, “That’s a strong guy. I think it was 92. He’s a strong guy so I’ll try and stay away from him next time we play them.”

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently 11-3 and first in the AFC West. They next play the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday at 1:00 PM ET. After the Seahawks they have a showdown with Denver Broncos before concluding the regular season at the Las Vegas Raiders.
