In what has become a spectacle to settle social media supremacy, Meta magnate Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter’s top Tweeter Elon Musk may be headed for a Battle of the Billionaires. Discussion of a mixed martial arts bout between the two that were once considered to be just a joke is now much more serious than ever.

Also serious? Zuckerberg’s impressive physique.

This all started on social media. Of course.

The idea of a cage match was first posed by Musk on Twitter, where the he replied to a thread about Instagram’s then-upcoming rival app Threads, by saying, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.”

In response, Mark Zuckerberg informally accepted on Instagram. The Facebook founder posted a screenshot of Musk’s tweet, with the caption, “send me location”—a reference to a famous line from former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

While many have been chuckling, some movers and shakers have been shuffling – trying to find away to capitalize on the very real-life drama between the two. There’s more to their billion-dollar bravado than meets the eye, and even UFC President Dana White was quoted by the New York Times as saying he would help organize an exhibition match between the tech CEOs. At the same time, the bout would be used to raise money for multiple causes.

Zuckerberg has reportedly trained in jiu-jitsu for years, and he has been working out with MMA stars Israel Adesanya and Alex Volkanovski, who flew out to Zuckerberg’s Northern California home following the UFC 290 showcase on Saturday night. Once there, they started training the 39-year-old for the match.

Zuckerberg, who looks to be in terrific shape, was seen in a photo that Adesanya posted on Instagram.

“No fugazi with Mark,” The Stylebender wrote. “This is Serious Business‼️”

The Meta muscle man replied with a short, simple message: “It’s an honor to train with you guys!”

And for those out there interested in wagering on this battle of the big bucks, Zuckerberg is currently the favorite at -160. That’s the hypothetical line DraftKings has already set for Zuckerberg to win the match.
