The PFL has a big new name to add to its roster of fighters in Puerto Rican boxer and women’s undisputed featherweight champion, Amanda “the Real Deal” Serrano. The 5 ft 1/2-inch powerhouse will be trading in her boxing gloves for MMA gloves as Serrano becomes the latest “heavyweight” to join an already star-studded PPV Super Fight Division roster.

Serrano made the announcement on Wednesday’s episode of The MMA Hour, telling fans that she had already signed the deal to compete in MMA with the PFL’s PPV Super Fight Division. While there is not a tentative date set as of now, she has stated that she intends to fight within their flyweight division.

This addition to the PFL’s ranks comes at a great time for the small yet mighty combat league who earned some big press earlier this summer when they announced that former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou not only joined their leadership team but would also fight as well.

Serrano’s manager at Most Valuable Promotions, YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, will also be making his MMA debut within the PFL’s octagon in 2024.

Serrano (2-0-1) has been undefeated as an amateur MMA fighter prior to making the full time switch to professional boxing.

In April 2018, she decided to try her hand at MMA, starting out in the flyweight class. Her first match against Corina Herrera ended in a fair draw.

Just a few months later in October, Serrano hit her stride, taking down Erendira Ordonez with a slick first-round rear-naked choke.

After taking a break, Serrano then returned in June 2021 and had switched things up to fight as a strawweight where she floored Valentina Garcia with a super-quick guillotine choke submission in only 60 seconds.

As a boxer, Serrano (44-2-1, 30 KOs) is known worldwide as perhaps the most decorated female champion of all time. She has earned nine major world titles across seven weight classes, and currently holds the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, IFO and The Ring featherweight champion titles.

Serrano will be stepping into the ring this weekend on the undercard for Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz, where she is set to rematch Heather Hardy inside of the American Airlines Center. You can watch the full card starting at 8pm EST on DAZN PPV and ESPN+.
