Crash at 2023 SRX SERIES | skewcar via YouTube

According to Kenny Wallace, Paul Tracy was on the wrong side of things when he crashed into NASCAR veteran Kenny Schrader during a recent SRX showdown. And the 59-year-old driver-turned-commentator has made his feelings quite clear about what he thinks went down in interviews and on an edition of his YouTube show this week.

Wallace was a little redfaced over what he witnessed on Thursday evening in the SRX contest at the Pulaski County Motorsports Park. In particular, the head-to-head, blacktop battle that took place between Tracy and Schrader. In the on-the-track tussle, the two engaged in a little bit of high-speed jousting that ultimately saw Schrader get pushed out to the track’s perimeter wall.

Despite coming out ahead in the exchange with Tracy’s #3 car, Ken Schrader wasn’t happy with his fellow competitor’s tactics on the track. And he voiced his displeasure following the race. Schrader sounded disgusted, simply stating: proclaimed, “I’m not running another race with him. I’m done.”

The SRX League has moved swiftly to discipline Tracy for his actions, suspending him effective July 28, 2023. The reasons cited were his intentionally wrecking Josef Newgarden and colliding with Schrader and other drivers during the race. As of press time, it’s unclear when (or even if) Tracy will race again in the SRX

The hijinx did not go unnoticed by Kenny Wallace, who took the side of his fellow driving veteran Scharder regarding the incident. The St. Louis native, known for unabashedly giving his takes on the sport on his popular YouTube channel, opened up about the topic and Tracy.

“Paul Tracy is a winner; he’s won a lot of Indy car races,” Kenny Wallace said in the clip. “He drove for Roger Pensky, but he has always been very aggressive. Schrader’s had enough of this sh**. And Dale Earnhardt Jr. got on Twitter last night and said it right.”
