Law Enforcement in Maywood, IL has been looking for Brown in regard to his now-deceased mother, 73-year-old Myrtle Brown, who was found dead near a creek on Sept. 16.

This came after both she and Sergio were reported missing just hours earlier.Myrtle’s death was eventually ruled a homicide after investigators discovered she sustained multiple injuries in an assault. Police have not released information regarding potential suspects.

Initially, it wasn’t clear if Sergio Brown was a victim himself, or had merely vanished. He has not been charged with a crime at this time or been named publicly as a suspect, although he can certainly be considered a person of interest. Especially in light of a recent video that has surfaced.

In the clip, posted by TMZ Sports, Brown can be spotted shirtless, with red shorts on, living the high life in the village of Tulum – a vacation spot on the Mexican coast – and drinking. He is shown buying alcohol for other patrons and seemingly doesn’t have a care in the world, despite the fact that his mother was just tragically killed.

This appears to be a breaking story, as Sergio Brown will eventually have to answer questions from homicide detectives about his mother’s death and his rather strange reaction to it all. As of now? Many in the world of social media are already throwing a red flag on this one.

Sergio Brown entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2010, signing with the New England Patriots. He has also played for the Colts, Falcons, Jaguars, and Bills. During his time in Indianapolis, he went viral on YouTube for doing his locker room impersonation of pro wrestler ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair.
