A hot mic happened to pick up injured New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers discussing when he thinks he will be back on the field
After a ruptured Achilles Tendon sidelined Aaron Rodgers just four snaps into his career with the Jets, most fans and observers felt like it was just another lost season. But it hasn’t turned out that way. The team has stayed in some form of playoff contention behind young backup Zach Wilson. And now? It looks (and sounds) like Rodgers is looking to make a miraculous comeback to save New York’s season.
Rodgers was on the sidelines with his teammates during their rough 27-6 loss to the San Diego Chargers on Monday Night. Former number-one pick Zach Wilson has managed to help the team tread water, but he got drilled for eight sacks and made a lot of bad throws.
That made the former four-time MVP’s presence several yards away loom even larger. It also didn’t stop the buzz when Rodgers had been astonishingly out on the field, taking three-step drops and making long throws – just weeks after what should have been a season-ending (and possibly, career-threatening) injury.
But a moment after the game that has fans everywhere optimistic and excited.

“Give me a few weeks,” Rodgers replied cryptically.
After being acquired via trade with the Green Bay Packer in the offseason, the Jets were looking to make a possible Super Bowl run behind the 39-year-old Rodgers.
Those hopes were dashed quickly, but the QB is still looking to make a handful of them still come true.
While it’s still a long shot on almost every side, every appearance and utterance makes it appear that we WILL see Aaron Rodgers play football again at some point in 2023.
At least, if he has anything to say about it.
