Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill took exception to some recent comments from volatile analyst Colin Cowherd and fired some shots in his direction

Veteran sports analyst Colin Cowherd has never been afraid to ruffle a few feathers here and there. In fact, it’s become his calling card. But the Fox Sports personality got that card pulled by Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill this week. The Miami megastar chirped back at some of Cowherd’s comments on social media.

Colin Cowherd Calls Out Dolphins Nation

Cowherd went on a recent rant about the Dolphins’, saying the team is always “seeking validation” for their standing right now.

While those in the Miami organization and fan base might disagree about being so self-conscious and downright ‘thirsty’, they certainly have the right to ask for at least a little bit of respect from the fans and media. Fueled by emerging QB Tua Tagovailoa and speedy receiver Hill – the Dolphins are sitting pretty right now at 11-4.

The ‘Fins are leading the Buffalo Bills by two games in the standings with two left to play. So, the playoffs are just off the horizon when they look across Miami Beach. Still, Cowherd portrayed the team’s fans (and possibly even a few players) as needy and almost begging for respect when he spoke about them on The Herd on Wednesday.

Tyreek Hill Takes Exception

“It’s not my job to give you respect,” Colin Cowherd said, addressing Dolphins Nation directly. “It’s my job to be honest. You have a singular playoff win in 23 years.”

Seeing the comments posted on Twitter, Tyreek Hill defended his team and their fans. He reposted Cowherd’s thoughts, hilariously replying, “What sport has this thug played again?”

Despite the back and forth, the Dolphins (11-4, 1st AFC East) still have some work to do to wrap up their berth in the postseason. They will continue that task on Sunday, New Year’s Eve, when they take on the powerful Baltimore Ravens (12-3, 1st AFC South).

Maybe if Miami can knock off Lamar Jackson and crew, they can gain a little bit more respect from Mr. Cowherd. That is… if they even care.
