Pearl took to the X social media platform to criticize MSNBC for not airing Trump’s speech after he won the Iowa Republican caucus, calling it “beyond disturbing for our Democracy.”

He compared the situation to how state-run media operates in dictatorships, saying the network was “openly justifying” censorship. The Auburn coach found seeing similar behavior in the United States upsetting.

Bruce Pearl Slaps The Biased Media

Coach Pearl said the media should not be in the business of censoring a presidential candidate they dislike and instead, the American people “should be able to hear and decide for themselves.”

What a concept. Letting the people decide. The media hasn’t believed in that for decades.

Pearl was responding to a video in which MSNBC host Rachel Maddow announced her network would not air Trump’s victory speech after he won the Iowa Caucus. Trump appears to be well on his way to becoming the GOP nominee for President.

“It is not out of spite, it is not a decision that we relish, it is a decision that we regularly revisit, and honestly, earnestly, it is not an easy decision,” she said. “But there is a cost to us as a news organization of knowingly broadcasting untrue things.”

“His remarks will not air here live.”

Imagine working for a network that aired collusion hoaxes, covered for Hunter Biden, gave you false information about masks, vaccines, and social distancing for years, and then saying we can’t “knowingly broadcasting untrue things.”

Bruh, knowingly broadcasting untrue things is the mantra of legacy media today. Spare us the righteous indignation.

The American people are smart enough to sort through information and determine the truth for themselves.
