After countless controversial claims made by Aaron Rodgers on The Pat McAfee Show, many believe ESPN may pull the plug on the quarterback appearing again

There’s been a bit of a rough reaction to many of Aaron Rodgers’ public comments in the past, but recently they have been ramped up. Following the former Super Bowl MVP’s defamatory statements toward late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmell, many are calling for him to be muzzled.

Controversial Comments Toward Kimmel

Rodgers is no fan of Kimmel – who has been happy to take repeated shots at the Jets star for his stance on many social issues, including his stance against the COVID vaccine and ‘anti-woke’ causes. But he may have crossed the line when he fired an off-handed comment in the comedian’s direction.

Aaron Rodgers was making one of his regular appearances on The Pat McAfee Show recently when he alluded to Kimmel “being nervous” about the list of Jeffrey Epstein associates being released. (Epstein is, of course, the notorious pedophile and sex trafficker who later committed suicide in prison in 2019. He has been tied to multiple high-level celebrities, like Prince Andrew of England and former U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump)

While Aaron Rodgers didn’t directly accuse Jimmy Kimmel of any wrongdoing, the mere implication – followed by the quarterback’s ‘knowing’ chuckle – was landed with its purposeful intention.

Rodgers In The Wrong?

However, when the report was eventually released, Kimmel’s name was not on it. And the comic himself has publicly stated that he has never even met Jeffrey Epstein. It was a revelation that left many telling Rodgers that he should eat crow, that Kimmel should sue, and that McAfee should ban the controversial QB from appearing on his show again.

After seeing Kimmel respond with the threat of a potential legal action, Pat McAfee went on the air the next day, attempting to smooth things over. This was ESPN damage control… especially considering that Kimmel has a show on ABC – a property that’s also owned by parent company Disney.

Thus far, there has been no official word whether or not the 39-year-old Rodgers will appear on The Pat McAfee Show again. But shows with media watchers like Stephen A. Smith to Deadspin scolding him for his slanderous mud-slinging? It may be best in the veteran’s interest to call an audible on his opinions. At least, when it comes to touchy topics he has no evidence about.
