Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark is currently one of the most talked about basketball players in the entire world. That is not hyperbole. She has broken multiple college basketball records and has played a major role in the increase in interest when it comes to women’s college ball. Just look at the television ratings for the ongoing NCAA Women’s Tournament.

Having already announced that she’ll enter the 2024 WNBA Draft after her Hawkeyes tourney run comes to a conclusion, it’s a foregone conclusion that the generational talent will go No. 1.

That’s if she actually opts to play in the WNBA for pennies on the dollar.

Ice Cube and BIG3 is looking to lure her to that league. The hip-hop artist and entrepreneur confirmed on Wednesday that there is an offer out threre to pay Clark $5 million to play just 10 games in his three-on-three league.

“We intended the offer to remain private while Caitlin Clark plays for the championship. But I won’t deny what’s now already out there: BIG3 made a historic offer to Caitlin Clark. Why wouldn’t we? Caitlin is a generational athlete who can achieve tremendous success in the BIG3,” Ice Cube wrote on X.

“It’s a step under prison ball,” Martin said on Gil’s Arena Show. “Could you imagine her getting stuck down on Reggie Evans?”

The narrative here is that a woman who stands at 6-feet and weighs 155 pounds wouldn’t be able to bang with men on the basketball court.

“She gon’ take the ball out?” Gilbert Arenas followed up with. “As soon as she tries to cross that line — boom! Yo’ little a**.”

Whether Clark would hold up in a professional sports league with men remains to be seen. What we do know is that she’s been a transformative figure.

We also know that $500,000 a game to play in the BIG3 would make Clark the envy of other professional women basketball players. After all, Jackie Young of the Las Vegas Aces is the highest-paid WNBA player right now at $252,450.00 per season.
