Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill reportedly “smashed” an unlit cigar in the face of his wife during a dispute back in January. Hill’s version of the story was different.

The information was revealed in a column by the Miami Herald which purports to show the volatile NFL player “cleaning up his life.”

The Herald tucked that information away 36 paragraphs into their profile on Hill.

According to police reports uncovered by the newspaper, the incident involved Hill and his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, arguing over a post-nuptial agreement and a divorce petition.

“Vaccaro told investigators she refused to sign the post-nup agreement, stating she felt ‘bullied, threatened and verbally abused,'” the column states. “She also reported that Hill ‘smashed’ an unlit cigar in her face, the report says.”

Tyreek Hill Accused Of ‘Smashing’ Cigar In His Wife’s Face

As is often the case with domestic disputes, there tends to be a bit of a ‘he said, she said’ and it’s difficult to suss out exactly what happened.

This case is no different. Tyreek Hill admitted something happened with a cigar according to the police report. But he instead described it as him having “flicked” it at Vaccaro.

Hill also denies it actually hit her. Officers responding to the dispute saw no visible marks on Vaccaro.

“Due to conflicting stories and no evidence that a crime had occurred, no arrest was made,” the incident report states.

Already A Legend

If he keeps up this pace, the Miami Dolphins just might make Tyreek Hill a “legend of the game.” The way the Baltimore Ravens did for Ray Rice.

Obviously, it’s no secret that Tyreek Hill’s off-field life has been rather, shall we say, unsavory. Hill, considered by many to be the game’s top receiver, has faced several accusations of domestic violence in his past.

In 2014, he was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery by strangulation after an incident with his then-girlfriend, Crystal Espinal. Hill pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to probation and anger management classes.

In 2019, he was accused of breaking his son’s arm. No charges were filed in that case. An audio recording would later surface in which Hill and the mother discuss the boy’s injury. In it, she says Hill’s son is scared of him.

“You should be afraid of me too, bitch,” Hill replies.

When he’s not ensnared in multiple domestic disputes, Tyreek Hill is a one-man love machine. Allegedly.

In December, Bounding Into Sports reported on some impressive off-field statistics put up by the Miami star. For instance, the star was accused by various women of having fathered three kids, with three different mothers, born within a four-month time frame.

The Miami Herald noted that a recent podcast interview indicates Hill is attempting to turn his life around. And to find God.

“I lost my true self from what my grandparents raised me to be when I entered the league,” Hill said. “I completely forgot my relationship with God. And it really showed.”

Indeed, it did. Let’s hope he finds his way, for the sake of everybody around him.
