Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal

During his playing days, Hall of Fame talent Charles Barkley was one of the best basketball players in the game. But those days ended back in 2000 after his retirement from the NBA following 16 seasons.

However, ‘Sir Charles’ has remained in the limelight for a variety of reasons, whether it’s his laughable golf swings, or from spending years as one of the NBA analysts on TNT, Barkley is never too hard to find.

During his many appearances on TNT’s NBA coverage, we’ve seen Barkley share hot takes and make comical comments. He also sometimes gives us reasons to laugh at his actions. That was on full display on Thursday night after criticizing Zion Williamson for using his wrist to catch himself as he fell to the floor.

Here was Williamson using his wrist to prevent a hard fall to the court, which caused the New Orleans Pelicans superstar to head back to the locker room for further injury evaluation.

Barkley said Williamson’s tactics were a mistake, and he wanted to show everyone who plays basketball the proper way to fall while protecting your wrist from injury. While Barkley did successfully display how to cushion an athlete’s fall more safely, his attempt caused Shaquille O’Neal to burst out in laughter.

As funny as it is, ‘The Round Mound’ actually brings up a good point. We commonly see players hurt their wrists doing exactly what Williamson did. But as Barkley comically displayed, there’s a better way to brace your fall.
