Dallas Police are looking for Rashee Rice in connection to a multi-vehicle car crash that occurred on North Central Expressway in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday evening, according to a report from the Dallas Morning News.

Rice is a wide receiver for the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

A vehicle believed to be registered or leased to Rice was involved in the crash, per the report. The preliminary investigation determined the driver of a Corvette and the driver of a Lamborghini were speeding and lost control.

The accident involved six vehicles in total. Four people were treated for minor injuries, two of whom had to be evaluated at the hospital.

Rashee Rice Appears To Have Fled The Scene

The Lamborghini reportedly traveled onto the shoulder and โ€œhit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles.โ€

Rice is listed as the suspected driver of the Corvette. This is according to a police call sheet obtained by the newspaper.

Dashcam video was sent to the Dallas Morning News and can be seen below.

“The occupants of both the Lamborghini and the Corvette left the crash site on foot without stopping to see if anyone needed medical help or providing any of their information,” the report reveals.

Police note that the “investigation and identification of the suspects are both ongoing.”

Set Playoff Record

Rashee Rice was a rookie in 2023 but quickly blossomed into an integral part of the Kansas City Chiefs offense. He had 79 catches for 938 yards and 7 touchdowns in his first NFL season.

In Super Bowl LVIII, Rice grabbed 6 catches for 39 yards as the Chiefs defeated the 49ers, 25-22.

In doing so, those 6 catches earned him the record for most postseason receptions by a rookie.

Former NFL tight end, Shannon Sharpe, is criticizing Rashee Rice for the accident despite there obviously being several unknowns.

Sharpe compared the situation to Henry Ruggs III, a former NFL wide receiver, who was involved in a fatal DUI crash in November 2021.

Ruggs was driving his car drunk at speeds up to 156mph on a city street in Las Vegas when he caused a fiery crash that killed a woman and her dog.

โ€œYou see, a wise man will learn from othersโ€™ mistakes, a fool must learn from his own,” Sharpe chastised. “Did you not just see Henry Ruggs get 11 years, yeah but that ainโ€™t enough.โ€

There is no indication Rice was drinking. In fact, he has not been named as a driver at this point. Despite one of the vehicles being registered or leased in his name.

We’ll undoubtedly keep you posted as developments warrant.
