Last month, the former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce shocked his fans by revealing that he hadn’t gotten his wife Kylie a gift for their sixth wedding anniversary, which fell on April 14.
Now, Jason has updated his fans by revealing that he has since gotten his wife a touching anniversary gift to rectify this.
Jason’s Anniversary Gift
On Wednesday’s episode of his New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, Jason, 36, was asked about not getting Kylie an anniversary gift. His younger brother Travis, 34, had suggested that he get her a sword, and that’s exactly what Jason ended up doing!
“We got the sword. Kylie loves it,” Jason confirmed.
When asked if Kylie likes the sword, Jason replied, “I’m pretty sure. I think she does.”

“I’ve seen better. It’s not that sharp. But it’s for show, it’s a symbol,” Jason said of the sword as he showcased it, with his brother telling him to “sharpen that thing up” and praising it as a “nice a– sword.”
Travis joked that if Jason ends up getting murdered anytime soon, they’ll know that Kylie did it with the sword.
“I’m just gonna be honest with you. If Kylie killed me with a sword, I had it coming to me. So no need to punish her,” Jason replied with a laugh.
Happy Anniversary, Princess Kyana
The sword is even engraved with a sweet message for Kylie that reads, “Happy anniversary, Princess Kyana.”
Princess Kyana is a nickname for Kylie that’s a mashup of her name and that of the late royal Princess Diana. It stems from when Kylie previously modeled some retro Eagles gear that included a green letterman jacket that Diana had worn prior to her death in 1997.
Diana famously wore the iconic green letterman jacket on the cover of the June of 1994 issue of People Magazine. Legend has it that she was given the jacket by the Eagles’ statistician Jack Edelstein after they became friends while attending the funeral of Princess Grace of Monaco in 1982. Grace was born and raised in Philadelphia and was close to Edelstein, tying her to the Eagles team.
Jason And Travis Aren’t Good Gift Givers
This comes after the Kelce’s mom Donna admitted that her sons are not very good at giving gifts. Jason responded by confessing that he still needed to give his wife an anniversary present.
“Don’t ask Kylie! I am a bad gift planner and giver.” Jason admitted at the time, “I can’t be good at dancing and be good at gift giving — I can only have one of those.”
“… I owe Kylie an anniversary gift,” he continued. “I’m almost a month post-due on that. We were doing the Cincinnati live show and it distracted me … I gotta come big with something.”
Jason and Kylie married at the Logan Hotel in Philadelphia on April 14, 2018, according to People. This came two years after they met on the dating app Tinder, and two months after Jason and the Eagles won Super Bowl LII. They have since gone on to have three daughters: Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, 11 months.
