It’s amazing what a little winning streak will do for team chemistry. For Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever teammates, it paid off in a big way on Thursday.

Former All-Star Game MVP Erica Wheeler decided to surprise the team with a gift. Jewelry, to be specific.

Brand new chains, bracelets, and watches were the order of the day for a very appreciative locker room. The team dubbed it “Fever ice” on their social media account.

“You know me, I always want to show love for my teammates,” Wheeler said. “Have great partnerships. I actually have an opportunity to give to my teammates, they say ‘Yea.'”

“Gettin’ iced out!” she yelled.

This is a team that is finding its swagger, and the WNBA better be on notice.

Caitlin Clark And Her Team Seem To Be Coming Together

On the day before Erica Wheeler was dishing out ice to her teammates, fans of the Indiana Fever also noticed Caitlin Clark was getting some support from a teammate when it came to talking to the media.

Forward Aliyah Boston jumped in when Clark seemed to be addressing turnovers during the team’s 88-81 win over the Washington Mystics on Wednesday.

Boston clearly had her back. She told Clark not to worry about the mistakes because the two would continue to gel on the court. And she heavily praised the rookie for her passing skills and team leadership.

“I think Caitlin does a great job of finding me and also understanding when she can get her shot out of the pick and roll as well,” Boston said.

“I think that’s something we’ve just continued to build over games and practice and just get a feel for each other.”

Winning Is The Magic Elixir

Caitlin Clark and Boston are clearly getting a feel for each other. During the team’s current three-game win streak, Clark is averaging 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.

Boston has been on fire putting up 22.7 points and 11.7 rebounds per contest, well above her season averages.

Clark trusting a fellow number-one overall pick in the draft has led to success for the young team and it’s taking a little bit of the burden off of her own game.

Indiana is currently 5-2 over their last seven games, though each of the opponents they’ve beaten are under .500. They’ll face another sub-.500 team in the Atlanta Dream tonight.

Who knows what gifts might show up in the locker room if they win another one?
