As Fox Mulder of The X-Files says regarding UFOs, “The truth is out there,” and now Las Vegas Raiders Pro Bowl defensive end Maxx Crosby can attest to it.
According to the 26-year-old, he and his Raiders teammates witnessed a UFO during a team flight back from their flight back from Miami to Las Vegas following a matchup with the Dolphins. Crosby admitted as much during his recent appearance on Joe Rome’s show on X.
First, Crosby was asked about the topic of UFOs when he confirmed their existence.
“There definitely is. That’s not even a question.”
But then Crosby doubled down, and told his story.
“It’s real. Like we were literally on a flight back from Miami, and we’ve seen a UFO with our own eyes. And that sounds crazy, but you can ask the pilots, anybody that was there. It was wild. And I seen it, and they had no idea what it was. There was nothing on the radar, nothing. And it was like a big shining light going in and out.”

The Raiders did visit Miami on November 19, 2023, when Las Vegas lost 20-13 to the Dolphins. Crosby didn’t indicate whether he saw the UFO this past season, but the only other time the Raiders played in Miami during his career came in 2022 during the preseason.
Crosby’s admission is sure to raise some eyebrows, but it probably doesn’t come as a big surprise to local natives, thanks to the presence of Area 51 near Rachel, Nevada. Crosby didn’t note whether he saw the UFO closer to Florida or Nevada, but either way, it’s a fascinating story, and from the sound of it, several others who were on the flight can share a similar tale. We’ll see if any others can back up his claims or if they even want to broach the topic.
