Three-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle David Bakhtiari is still looking for work as NFL training camps get going around the league late next month.
Bakhtiari, 32, played his first 11 seasons with the Green Bay Packers. From 2013-20, he was among the best left tackles in the NFL as Aaron Rodgers’ blindside protector.
Unfortunately, injuries have caught up to the 32-year-old California native. He’s played in just 13 games over the past three seasons due to a multitude of injuries.
Apparently, this has not impacted Bakhtiari on the competitive beer drinking circuit (yes, that’s a thing).
Dude legitimately tore through the competion in the 2024 Beer Games. Check him out pounding down a cold one as his teammate embarrassed himself. It will make you envious of your frat days. We’re not joking.
That’s not even close to a fair fight right there. Bakhtiari might as well have been doing a keg stand in comparison to those other amateurs out there. What’s up with the dude on the top right not even finishing off his beer? He should be relegated to drinking Michelob Ultra from here on out.
So much analysis. Such little time. Really, we should have this stuff on television with Tony Romo and Tom Brady on play-by-play.
Alas, we digress.

David Bakhtiari: Beer Drinking Champion And NFL Free Agent

This is not anything new to the veteran offensive tackle. He was seen a half-decade ago having a beer drinking contest with the aforementioned Rodgers during a Milwaukee Bucks game.
But we have to remember Bakhtiari was in his 20s then. Anyone who has crossed over the 30-year-old rubicon knows that it hits differently. A couple of these, and you’re dead to the world for a good 72 hours. Good on Bakhtiari for turning back the clock.
As for a return to the gridiron after three consecutive injury-plagued seasons, Bakhtiari makes it clear he plans on playing in 2024.
“My goal right now is just to make sure that I not only fully recover but I can withstand and play the game that I want to play but also play and be there for a team no matter what,” David Bakhtiari said recently. “I’m not a reliever guy, I am your cornerstone guy. Someone that’s not only going to play in September but in December and into February and obviously hopefully for another couple of years.”
Get your beer game on now while you can, David.
