International music superstar Adele is not in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics. It seems that she’s one of the few big names not to be taking part in viewing the games in Paris. At least, in person.
Instead, the 16-time Grammy Award winner (that’s an actual thing) is in Germany taking part in a residency in Munich through the end of August.
So, what do Adele and the Summer Olympics have in common? We’re glad you asked.
In the middle of her show Saturday night, the women’s 100-meter final on the track in Paris was about to start. It was one of the major events during the day’s action at the Summer Olympics, with record-breaking American Sha’carri Richardson taking part.
As the heat was about to start, Adele paused her show in the middle. It sent a hush through the crowd inside Munich Messe.
It does seem like the crowd went easy on her. Those in attendance also made her feel their love as the competition was played on the big screen. Terrible puns, right?

Adele Looks On As Saint Lucia Wins First Ever Summer Olympics Gold

There was some controversy taking place in Paris as the heat was set to start. Richardson was briefly denied access at the gate ahead of the semifinals meet.
The good news? This didn’t really have much of an impact on the results. Richardson earned silver while fellow American Melissa Jefferson hit the podium with a bronze.
Though, the story outside of Adele pausing her concert was Julien Alfred bringing home the first gold medal in the history of Saint Lucia. It was an entire scene in the small Eastern Caribbean island nation.
As for Adele, us in Las Vegas know that those in attendance paid good money to show up. We’re sure she made it worth their while. Otherwise, they would set fire to rain with Adele rolling in the deep.
OK, we’re done.
