Olivia “Livvy” Dunne, a former LSU gymnast and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, has found herself gracing the cover of Maxim’s Winter 2025 issue in a revealing photoshoot.

Lord, does she ever provide the grace. Not to mention the beauty.

Dunne has over 5.2 million followers on Instagram alone. As a collegiate athlete, she has been the highest-earning female NIL earner.

But there’s one thing she says you shouldn’t call her.

An “influencer.”

Dunne bristles at the term in an interview for the magazine.

Livvy Dunne doesn’t want to be called an influencer. She has a new job now.

Livvy Dunne, who recently wrapped up her collegiate gymnastics career, reveals she is now pursuing acting and has already shot a small role in an upcoming action movie described as a “turn your brain off and have fun” project.

Ironically, when you see her on the cover of Maxim, and in the accompanying photos for the shoot, your brain tends to “turn off and have fun.”

My goodness.

Dunne went on to express particular interest in romantic comedies, citing a desire to star in feel-good films.

“I can do cool action things as well,” Dunne added.

But an influencer, she ain’t, instead describing herself as “a former athlete, and honestly, right now: model.”

Living her best life

Despite wanting to avoid the term “influencer,” Livvy Dunne tells Maxim how her massive social media following (over 13 million across platforms) opened doors in modeling and entertainment that gymnastics alone never could.

She also credits her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, for supporting her post-gymnastics ambitions while she cheers on his Cy Young Award-winning MLB career.

Despite her objections, Dunne is one of the most successful influencers thanks to the NIL empire she built.

“I created something larger than sport,” Dunne said in her Maxim interview.

Part of the appeal of Livvy Dunne is that she consistently lives her best life and shares it on social media. That’s why she’s got millions of adoring fans.

Earlier this year, Dunne stunned audiences at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show in Miami by performing a flawless split.
