‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul will look to add to his in-ring resume when he faces 10-1 Andre August in a cruiserweight battle
The Paul Brothers have become quite the drawing card in combat sports – be it in boxing, MMA, or professional wrestling. Now, the younger of the two, Jake Paul, will look to keep that cash register ringing when he takes on Andre August next month in a DAZN event to be held in Orlando, Florida.
Billed as a match that will help push Paul closer to a potential title fight, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has compiled a 7-1 career record.
Paul has also partnered with the rising MMA promotion, the Professional Fighters League (PFL), ahead of a planned venture into the world of mixed martial arts.
Thus far, he’s taken on the likes of MMA stars like Ben Askren, Nate Diaz, Tyronn Woodley, and Anderson Diaz. His lone loss came against England’s Tommy Fury.
“So far, my entire boxing career has been on PPV, but now it’s about more than business. Now I want to build my experience in the ring,” Jake Paul said.

The 35-year-old Andre August is 10-1 in his boxing career. He has been fighting professionally since 2013 and his only loss was via knockout to Eric Abraham.
Of the fight, Jake Paul says that it’s another step closer to his goal of becoming a world champion in boxing. Once considered to be more of an exhibition-style fighter or novelty act, he’s evolved into a legitimate contender and box office draw in the sport.
“I’m a professional boxer and I want to be world champion,” Jake Paul said of the upcoming bout. “So I need to pursue the path towards greatness against people who have been boxing their whole life.”
