Legendary boxer Mike Tyson is reportedly “doing great” following a medical scare on board a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday.
The flight he was on asked passengers if there were any doctors or paramedics on board by sending a message on the plane’s screens, according to In Touch. The message was sent out approximately 30 minutes before the flight landed.
Those on board were asked to stay seated upon arrival at their destination so that medical personnel could tend to “a really important passenger.”
Tyson was treated by paramedics and the rest of the flight was able to disembark after about 25 minutes.

Mike Tyson Plane Emergency Update: He’s Doing Great
Representatives for the ‘Iron’ boxer have stated that he is “doing great” following the medical scare. They attributed the episode to an ulcer flare-up.
They also expressed thanks to the medical professionals who helped assist Mike Tyson during the mid-flight plane emergency.
“Thankfully Mr. Tyson is doing great,” a statement reads according to ESPN. “He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.”
His team also set the record straight over rumors that his issue had caused the flight to be delayed. That delay – nearly two hours – was later attributed to the plane being too hot due to an air-conditioning malfunction.
There is no indication that this incident will impact Tyson’s upcoming boxing match against Jake Paul, scheduled for July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

He’s Been Feeling ‘Really Sore’
Mike Tyson’s on-plane medical emergency comes as he recently admitted to feeling “really sore” during his training for the Jake Paul bout.
“My body is s— right now,” he confessed at a press tour stop at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York earlier this month. “I’m really sore.”
Tyson will be 58 when he steps into the ring with Paul. His last fight was an exhibition against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.
The ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ has admitted to feeling nervous about the upcoming fight but delivered a fiery response when a reporter suggested he might just be a “gimmick.”
Still, he says the nerves will subside and he’ll be ready to go once the bell rings.
“As the fight gets closer, the less nervous I become, because it’s reality,” he warned. “And in reality, I’m invincible.”
