Boxing: Fury vs Wilder III

Footage has emerged of heavyweight boxing champ Tyson Fury being escorted from a bar in his hometown of Morecambe, Lancashire, just weeks after suffering his first professional loss.

The disturbing video shows security aiding a stumbling Fury out of the bar, then cuts to his emergence outside.

He is seen crawling on the sidewalk before attempting to get up, only to fall forward hard leading with his face either into the ground or a lamppost.

A source told The Sun that Fury hadn’t had a drink in over a year, but on this particular night “had a couple too many and wasn’t feeling too well either.”

Suffered His First Loss

The timing of this startling video is raising alarm bells. Tyson Fury lost to Oleksandr Usyk in a heavyweight boxing match held in Saudi Arabia just weeks ago.

Usyk won via a split decision, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion in nearly 25 years. The judges scored it 115-112, 113-114, and 114-113 in favor of Usyk.

This was Fury’s first defeat in his professional boxing career. And he didn’t seem to think he got a fair shake from the judges.

“I believe I won the fight, but I’m not going to sit here and cry and make excuses,” he explained. “I believe he won a few of the rounds, but I won the majority of them. What can you do?”

“We both put on a good fight, the best we could do. … People are siding with the country at war,” Fury added, an insinuation that Usyk was favored due to his hailing from Ukraine.

“But make no mistake, I won that fight … and I’ll be back. We’ve got a rematch clause.”

That rematch will take place on December 21st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Friends Concerned About Tyson Fury After Bar Incident

Fury’s ‘inner circle’ is concerned that this is a little bit more than Tyson Fury simply trying to decompress with a night out with the boys. At least according to The Daily Mail.

A person described as one of Fury’s friends told the outlet that “given the bender took place in the wake of such a hard-hitting defeat – the first of his career – there is extra concern for his well-being.”

“Tyson and alcohol do not mix well,” another friend allegedly conveyed.

The heavyweight boxer has confessed to indulging in cocaine and alcohol as a means to battle depression in the past. And that was to cope with his success.

Fury is in uncharted territory now. Let’s hope he surrounds himself with people looking out for his well-being.
