Caitlin Clark is taking her talents to Florida.

The basketball phenom, fresh off her crowning as the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, is set to showcase her athletic versatility on the links at one of golf’s notable events this November.

Clark will be teeing off at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge, an LPGA Tour event named after and hosted by legendary golfer Annika Sörenstam. The tourney is taking place at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.

“I love golf so the opportunity to play in the Pro-Am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sörenstam’s name on it is so exciting,” the Indiana Fever star said in a statement.

The event itself stands as one of the LPGA’s premier tournaments. Sörenstam is not just a host but an icon in women’s golf with her own legacy of breaking records and barriers.

Caitlin Clark Ready To Tee It Up

Clark’s participation in The Annika isn’t just about playing golf – it’s a testament to her role as a multi-sport ambassador.

And she seems pretty excited to team up with other icons in the world of athletics.

“Gainbridge is a leader in supporting women’s sports and that’s clear through their commitment to me, this event, Billie Jean King, and Parity Week,” Caitlin said.

“I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, and, of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika.”

Parity Week is being dubbed as an investment “in the Future of Women’s Sports.”

Fans Clamoring For Caitlin Will Be Thrilled

Fans hoping to catch more of Caitlin Clark after her playoff exit will be thrilled to hear she’s participating in the Pro-Am event in November.

ESPN previously reported that the WNBA star wasn’t going to hit the hardwood again in a meaningful game for well over 200 days. So her fans need a little taste.

“She said she almost definitely will not play basketball this offseason,” commentator Ryan Ruocco said. “So it is likely we will not see her play again until April.”

Before hitting the links, Caitlin Clark will also engage in a panel discussion at the Women’s Leadership Summit.

Clark just completed the most impressive rookie season of any WNBA player in the history of the league. She averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game, leading the league in assists and three-pointers made.

And it was a historic effort. Clark set multiple records, including becoming the first rookie to record a triple-double, and led the Indiana Fever back to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

She also broke the rookie scoring record with 769 points.
