Charley Hull, an LPGA Tour star known for smoking during her rounds of golf after taking up the habit to stop vaping, is reportedly going to give up the cigarettes.
As a little added incentive, she’s made a $10,000 bet that she won’t cave.
Hull posted a video on Instagram Stories playing a round of golf with European Tour player Ryan Evans. In it, she hands Evans a pack of cigs and pledges to pay $10,000 if she’s caught ripping a dart any time over the next two months.
“Today, I’ve made the decision to stop smoking & I’m going to make a 10 grand bet that if I pick up a cigarette in the next two months, I’ll give you 10 grand,” she tells Evans.

Charley Hull Giving Up The Nicotine Sticks
I mean, of course, it’s a good thing that Charley Hull is giving up the cigarettes. Still, it feels like a part of me is dying over this news.
Hull, a favorite of our readers due to her good looks and John Daly-esque attitude on the golf course, is a phenomenal golfer. She’s currently ranked 10th in the world.
But she’s been an endearing fan favorite in part because of the cigarettes. Her smoking habit first came to light last year, creating an uproar as fans compared her to Daly.
Hull made waves during the US Women’s Open at Lancaster Country Club while signing autographs with a cigarette hanging off her lips.

Hull went viral yet again when, during a practice round for the Solheim Cup, she walked over to a fan and asked to borrow their lighter.
What a legend.

Already Gave Up Vaping
Before the Paris Summer Olympics, Charley Hull talked briefly about her habit of ripping heaters on the green.
“I do smoke on the course,” she said. “It’s a habit, something I do.”
Remarkably, she said she actually took up smoking to quit vaping. Most people do that in the reverse.
“I was a bit stressed last year and I just kind of vaped. And I wanted to stop vaping, and even though smoking is not better than vaping, it’s just you can vape indoors all the time,” she said.
“I thought if I smoke, I’m going to go outside and smoke a cigarette.”
Some would say she’s smoking whether she’s indoors or out.
