Golf icon Tiger Woods was recently spotted in the stands cheering on his daughter Sam as her high school soccer team played for a state championship in Florida.

Video of him cheering with other parents in the stands offers a glimpse into a true legend of sports, simply being a Dad for a moment – albeit a Dad who is apparently creating a brood of super-athletes.

Woods, as seen in footage shared by the Palm Beach Post, is acting just as we all have when cheering on our kids in athletics.

A social media video shows Tiger with a broad smile, high-fiving other parents in the stands, and, in the end, sharing a heart-warming hug with Sam.

It is truly an incredible moment that you love to see.

Tiger Woods’ Daughter Sam Wins A State Title

In case it wasn’t clear from Tiger Woods’s reaction to Sam, they were sharing a celebratory hug. Sam’s team, The Benjamin School, defeated the Episcopal School of Jacksonville, 1-0.

They are now Florida 2A FHSAA state champions.

Sam, a captain and defender, played a key role in the team’s defensive effort, contributing to the shutout victory, according to her head coach, Hillary Carney.

“The defense really led the team all year,” Carney told the Palm Beach Post. “It was a matter of keeping the door shut and not letting them score and knowing we would get one, maybe two.”

“So it was really the stalwart defense leading the way with Emily [Simon] being in goal and Sam being that senior in the back just settling everything.”

Another Chip Off The Ol’ Block

Apparently, Tiger Woods is creating a team of super-athletes in his own image. If it’s not Sam winning a state soccer championship, it’s his son Charlie playing in a qualifying event for the U.S. Open at the age of 15.

Charlie has also taken part in the last five PNC Championships, where professional golfers team up with a family member. He and Tiger came in second this past year after a playoff.

A year prior to that, highlights were plenty, including, according to the PGA Tour, Charlie hitting “driver onto the green at the 349-yard seventh” and then producing “the team’s shot of the weekend at the par-4 ninth.”

Oh, and Charlie Woods and The Benjamin School’s boys golf team won the gold medal at the FHSAA Class A state championship in 2023. All while his legendary father, Tiger, was once again cheering them on.

Whatever he’s doing on the Dad front, Tiger seems to be doing things right, at least when it comes to sports.
