Adam Sandler is set to return as the beloved character Happy Gilmore in the newly released trailer for Happy Gilmore 2.
The long-awaited sequel is set to premiere on Netflix on July 25th.
“Hope you all have fun and thanks for all the great times,” Sandler wrote in the video’s Instagram caption.
After watching the clip, this author contends that it’s so far, so good. There are massive expectations for this movie, and the trailer, albeit just a snippet of the final product, already provides some laughs.
Sandler sees his bust alongside golf legends Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods and questions the sculpture as if Dwyane Wade’s artist created it.
“Spongebob?” he says after seeing the bust. “What is that? What’s with the beaver teeth?”

Happy Gilmore Is Back!
Whatever comes of the new movie, it’s clear there will be a ton of cameos and surprises. John Daly shows up in the trailer itself. A golf legend in a legendary golf comedy sequel.
“Come on, brother. Grip it and rip it,” he tells the movie’s hero.
Sandler is not the only one returning for the film; Julie Bowen reprises her role as Virginia Venit, and Christopher McDonald is back as the ever-amusing Shooter McGavin.
He doesn’t get much screen time in this new trailer, but one scene shows Shooter with arms raised skyward in the rain, hilariously recreating a scene from The Shawshank Redemption.
Ben Stiller also reprises his role as the abusive orderly Hal.
Bad Bunny is also spotted in the clip having some golf cart rage driving incident while clearly having anger issues, snapping a club over his knee.

Trailer Has Me Hyped
Happy Gilmore 2 seeks to revive the charm of the 1996 cult classic, in which Sandler portrayed a washed-up hockey player who discovers his wicked slapshot translates into mega-long drives.
The original film skyrocketed to fame thanks to its sharp humor, quotable one-liners, and Sandler’s wild, larger-than-life antics.
It also featured unforgettable performances from Bob Barker, who played himself in an iconic charity event scene, Joe Flaherty as the unhinged fan shouting ‘Jackass!’ to throw Happy off his game, and Carl Weathers—all of whom have sadly passed away since.
Rumor has it that each man will be paid tribute in some manner, with Sandler also trying to get current Price is Right host Drew Carey into the mix.
The sequel promises to blend nostalgia with fresh energy, honoring the legacy of the beloved comedy that left an indelible mark on pop culture.
Fans are excited. Will the film meet expectations? We’ll all find out on July 25th. I’m hyped. What about you?
