Golf legend Phil Mickelson took a sarcastic swipe at the nationwide “No Kings” protests against President Trump this past weekend, leveling the previous occupant of the White House in the process.

Mickelson, a six-time major championship winner, was clearly not impressed with the widespread protests, noting subtly some significant criticisms of the previous administration that perhaps should have drawn equal levels of ire.

“On this special day, as we all gather to fight against blanket auto pen pardons and executive orders, lawlessness, and stealing citizens’ resources for illegal non-citizens, I believe it has worked!” he wrote on X.

“That is no longer happening, so great job, everyone.”

The post quickly went viral, with many supporting Mickelson’s comments and a small vocal number of people expressing disdain.

Support for the President

The second “No Kings” protests drew millions across the U.S., including in major cities like New York and Washington, D.C. It coincided with a government shutdown battle that, had the United States actually been ruled by a “king,” wouldn’t be happening right now.

Mickelson often posts messages on X in support of the President and conservative values in general. So it’s no surprise that he is unimpressed with the protesters.

The three-time Masters champ has become more and more political in recent years, often criticizing California Governor Gavin Newsom for how he runs the state.

Last month, he raised eyebrows by suggesting Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar should be deported back to her native Somalia.

“Ilhan spews hate every time she opens her mouth, she came here fraudulently and will hopefully be sent back to Somalia soon,” Mickelson wrote.

Omar had openly mocked assassination victim Charlie Kirk at the time.
