President Donald Trump visited the New York Yankees’ clubhouse at Yankee Stadium before their game against the Detroit Tigers on the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. He met several of the team’s players, including slugger Aaron Judge.
The President complimented Judge’s build, joking, “If you have that much muscle, you have to hit the ball further,” and called him a “fantastic player.”
Judge might have used it as motivation, delivering two massive home runs that not only helped his team win, but moved him up the list of all-time Yankee greats in the long ball department.
He hit a 413 ft shot to kick things off in the bottom of the first. Judge then followed it with a 434 ft blast to dead center in the bottom of the third, giving his team a 4-1 lead over the AL Central leaders.
The Yankees went on to win the game, 9-3, in what might amount to a playoff preview.

Aaron Judge moves up the all-time List
Aside from helping to deliver a win, Aaron Judge also achieved a significant milestone in the process. He hit his 45th and 46th home runs of the season—tying him with Joe DiMaggio for fourth on the Yankees’ all-time home runs list at 361.
Judge added a single, was hit by a pitch, and struck out once, contributing to the Yankees’ victory over the Tigers as they continue to hold firm as the top wild-card team.
Judge’s strong season positions him as a frontrunner for his third MVP award in four years, needing just four more home runs for his fourth 50-homer campaign. He is in a close race with Seattle’s Cal Raleigh.
And to think, Trump’s presence may have contributed to the historic moment and potentially a major career accomplishment.

Remembering 9/11
President Trump was at Yankee Stadium to mark a solemn commemoration of the anniversary of 9/11 following his earlier participation in a memorial ceremony at the Pentagon.
Drawing on his longtime friendship with the late Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, Trump delivered an impromptu pep talk, reminiscing about attending games with him and predicting victory.
“You’re gonna win. You’re gonna go all the way… We’ll start from tonight on, and you’re going to do well,” he said.

They won. Now will they go all the way?
The President was met with mostly positive energy from the Yankee Stadium crowd, who broke out in chants of “USA! USA!” as he was shown on the Jumbotron.

Should Aaron Judge capture his fourth 50-home run season, it would put him in historic company. He would join Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, and Babe Ruth as the only players with as many seasons eclipsing that pace.
The Yankees, earlier this week, were met with overwhelmingly positive energy for honoring Charlie Kirk with an emotional moment of silence.
