Very few men understand how top New York Mets prospect Drew Gilbert is feeling right now. Those of us who do, don’t wish this on anyone. Absolutely no one. Not our fiercest rivals. It’s a man thing.

Gilbert was playing for the Mets’ Triple-A team against Rochester recently. In the top of the first inning, the outfielder was legitimately plunked in the junk. It was an absolutely ugly scene as Gilbert was down on the ground hitting the turf in pain.
Again, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
After being down on the turf for some time, Gilbert headed to the showers. There was absolutely no way he could remain in the game after being hit in the family jewels.
We absolutely do feel for the young dude. Lets just hope nothing broke and it won’t impact his ability to… well you know.

Latest Incent Adds To Drew Gilbert’s No Good Season

For Gilbert, this also adds more pain to what has been a trying season. The former first-round pick of the Houston Astros in the 2022 MLB Draft entered this game hitting a mere .191 in the minors this season.
Gilbert was acquired by New York from the Houston Astros in the Justin Verlander trade last August. He entered the season as the Mets’ No. 3 prospect, according to MLB.com.
