The New York Yankees’ captain Aaron Judge is officially making his debut in the PAW Patrol universe!
Judge Makes Rubble & Crew Cameo
Judge, 32, is set to make a cameo in an episode of Rubble & Crew. The episode will air at the end of the month.
Paw Patrol is one of the most popular children’s shows on TV right now, as is Rubble & Crew. Judge’s episode won’t be airing until August 26. However, the description of his episode gives some insight over what the show will entail.
“Former American League MVP and Captain of the New York Yankees, Aaron Judge, will make a guest appearance as himself in Rubble & Crew ‘The Crew Builds a Ballpark,’ premiering Monday, Aug. 26,” the description reads. “Judge’s real-life pet dachshunds Penny and Gus are also featured in the episode, with Judge’s wife, Samantha Judge, as the guest voice of Penny.”
“The episode follows Rubble who must come up with a plan to help Judge, his favorite baseball superstar, when he can’t get out of town to participate in the home run derby,” it adds. “Rubble and his crew must bring their can-do attitude and creative problem-solving to the field to build a stadium right in Builder Cove to host the derby.”
So it’s not just judge, it’s a whole family affair!
Judge Speaks Out About Cameo
Judge’s cameo on the beloved Nickelodeon children’s show was announced earlier this year, after it was filmed.
“As a proud dog dad, it was a blast to join Rubble and his friends in this adventure,” Judge told MLB.com back in March.
“Through my foundation work, I understand the importance of reaching kids and teaching them the importance of teamwork,” he continued. “It was so fun to combine two things I’m passionate about — dogs and baseball — to deliver this valuable message.”
Judge was referring to his All Rise Foundation. Their mission is to “inspire children and youth to become responsible citizens.” The foundation does this “by engaging them in activities that encourage them to reach unlimited possibilities.”
Judge’s Devoted Wife
Indeed, it’s fun that Judge’s wife Bracksieck will be able to take part in this Rubble & Crew episode as well. Judge and Bracksieck were high school sweethearts who later got married in 2021.
“My wife has been with me through it all and she’s calm as a cucumber, that’s for sure,” Judge told The New York Post the next year.
At the end of 2022, Judge signed a nine-year, $360 million dollar contract with the Yankees. Afterwards, he credited his wife with helping him to make this decision.
“Thank you to everybody, my wife, Samantha,” Judge said during a press conference that Bracksieck joined him for. “[My wife and I] came to the decision that was in our hearts, which is we belong in New York, we belong in this city.”
While Judge and Bracksieck have no children at this time, they are known to be proud dog parents. Here’s hoping their canines enjoy their Rubble & Crew episode at the end of this month!
