Toyota is laying their cards on the table and showing that they mean business in this year’s 2024 season with the signing of Canadian stock car driver Amber Balcaen.

Previously only driving on a part-time schedule for only three of last season’s races, fans have become familiar with her skills on the track and now, people are more excited knowing that the Venturini Motorsports team now has the first Canadian woman to win a NASCAR-sanctioned race in the US on their roster.

According to Essentiallysports.com, “The 31-year Canadian racer is still seeking her first career ARCA Menards series win. She has posted six top-10 finishes in the 23 career starts. Her best-ever finish in the ARCA series was a sixth-place effort in the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway a year ago.”

Amber Balcaen Says She’s Excited About The News

“I’m super excited to share my 2024 plans. I’ll be racing full-time for Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Menards Series, with Icon Direct returning as my primary sponsor,” Balcaen stated in the announcement video posted to social media.

“This year the goal is to win races and win a championship. Let’s make 2024 the best one yet.”

In 2022, Balcaen, 31, completed a full-time campaign with Rette Jones Racing, finishing seventh in the championship standings. She joins teammates Kris Wright, a full-time driver announced last year, and Jake Finch, who has a part-time schedule.

Balcaen’s transition to a full-time role at Venturini is built on her positive experiences in 2023, including competing in ARCA Menards Series events at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway in the No.15 Toyota Camry.

“I’ve watched Venturini Motorsports dominate the ARCA Mendards Series for years and it’s been a dream of mine for a long time to drive for VMS,” Balcaen added. “To say that I’m excited to drive for a hugely winning team is an understatement. I’m thrilled I’ll be in a fast car this season.”
