Fans of racing nostalgia have been rewarded in the form of a brand new version of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s iconic No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet.

JR Motorsports announced the news on X, writing simply, “The Bud 8 is BACK.”

And brother, it is.

“Times may change, tradition rolls on which is why Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Budweiser are reuniting to bring back one of the most recognizable paint schemes in racing history,” they said in a subsequent statement.

Earnhardt, inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2021, will race the No. 8 in a limited series of Late Model Stock Car Races in 2024 and 2025.

Y’all need to take a look. Right now. Stop what you’re doing.

Fans Are Freaking Out Over Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s No. 8 Budweiser

The new look of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet had NASCAR fans on social media practically drooling.

Future racing podcaster Steve Paris expressed excitement saying, “This is nostalgia for fans like myself who grew up a Jr. fan as a young kid!”

“Everything is right in the world, I can forever smile 24/7 knowing that the Great 8 is BACK BABY,” another fan wrote, adding an emoji of Steve Carell’s character Michael Scott getting misty-eyed.

“My wallet is about to get a huge dent Bring on the merch!!! This is awesome,” another responded.

Funny you should ask, sir.

Perhaps the best response came from Dirty Mo Media President Mike Davis who suggested one look at the Dale Earnhardt Jr. No. 8 could improve one’s love life.

“Be careful, everyone. Just looking at this car will make a baby,” he wrote.

When Will You See It On The Track?

The Budweiser Chevrolet will return to the track for the first time in 17 years on November 23, 2024, in the South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway.

For his part, Earnhardt Jr. can’t wait to get out there.

“It is an incredible opportunity for me to be able to reunite with Budweiser, and the No. 8,” he said. “Budweiser and I had some great memories with that iconic scheme and number.”

“We’ve always supported each other over the years. It’s going to be really special for me to be able to represent that brand on the racetrack again.”

It’s going to be really special for the fans as well.
