During the CARS Tour Pro Late Model race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, driver of the No. 43 Nick Loden went completely airborne in a horrific crash that saw him launch off of fellow competitor Josh Lowder’s vehicle.
With 67 laps to go in the 75 lap race in the lead-up to the the NASCAR All-Star Weekend at North Wilkesboro Speedway, Josh Lowder was battling for position down the straightaway when he got hooked, and got caught up with Logan Jones and made two hard hits into the outside wall with the impacts completely mangling his hood and nose.
His car would eventually come unconnected with Jones’ and he would drift down to the bottom of the track where Nick Loden was attempting to avoid Lowder’s car coming down the track.
Unfortunately, he was unable to do so. Loden made contact with Lowder’s right rear, which launched his vehicle up and over Lowder’s decklid and nearly over the wall separating the track from pit road.
His car would eventually come to a stop after making another hard lick against the outside wall at the exit of turn 2.
