Brendan Paul, a former walk-on basketball player at Syracuse University, was arrested on drug charges while attempting to board a private jet with rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs in Miami.
Paul played for the Syracuse basketball team for two seasons. He later transferred to Division II Fairmont State in 2020 after seeing limited playing time with the Orange.
He scored a career-high 16 points against Alderson Broaddus. Now, he’s accused of scoring 8 balls.

The Raid On Sean Combs
The arrest of Brendan Paul comes amid a federal investigation into sex trafficking allegations against rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, although it is unclear if the two incidents are directly related.
Combs, a prominent hip-hop mogul, saw federal officials raid his Los Angeles and Miami homes as part of a sex trafficking and sexual assault investigation earlier this week.
Stunning videos from the raids surfaced online, some showing members of Diddy’s entourage being led out at gunpoint.
Paul was consequently arrested on Monday.

Brendan Paul – Puffy’s Drug Mule?
Brendan Paul has been accused of being Combs’ “drug mule” in a federal lawsuit. He has been charged with possession of cocaine and possession of a controlled substance.
The suit claims the former collegiate basketball player would secure both drugs and guns for Combs.
Paul’s mugshot was released showing him looking like he had just finished doing wind sprints under Jim Boeheim. That, and evidently aging about 20 years past his age of 25.
According to a Facebook post, Brendan Paul worked in studios alongside Diddy for his latest release, “The Love Album: Off the Grid.”
Now he’s going to need some love from the justice system. Or from a good lawyer.
While the charges he faces are serious – both felonies – the penalties vary widely based obviously on circumstances. For possession of cocaine, a third-degree felony, the potential penalties can include up to five years in prison, five years of probation, and a fine of up to $5,000.
Paul played high school basketball with Buddy Boeheim at Brewster Prep. Buddy is the son of former Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim.
