You never really grasp how tall individuals such as San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama are until you see them side-to-side with regular folk.

The 7-foot-4 France native was absolutely brilliant in going up against smaller players during his rookie season in the NBA. Wemby averaged 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and a league-best 3.6 blocks per game. He did not look like your typical 20-year-old rookie.

Over in the gridiron world, Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens is coming off a 2023 season in which he won his second career NFL MVP award. By football standards, Jackson is not small. He stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs 215 pounds.

But when compared to Wemby, the height difference is astounding. Check out this photo Jackson posted to his socials.

It looks pretty much like any side-to-side photo including Kevin Hart. But we digress. That’s just some insane stuff. Jackson’s caption is also perfect.

“The Extraterrestrial,” as some call him, is completely otherworldly. Despite San Antonio struggling as a team this past season, Wemby put up numbers that we just don’t see from rookies.

There are also reports indicating that impending NBA free agents are willing to take less money to play with a dude who is just 166 days removed from being a teenager.

One NBA executive went as far to warn teams that their championship window is decreasing because of Wemby’s presence in the Association.

“The Spurs are coming because of Victor,” ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said on Pardon My Take recently. “I had a GM, slash, president of one of the teams who is very much in the mix for a championship right now who said to me a couple weeks ago, ‘We better all get our winning out of the way fast. We better get our winning done fast. Because once that kid has anybody around him, he’s going to win everything all the time.’”

That about sums it up.
