Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant, during an interview on Kay Adams‘ FanDuel show Up and Adams, apparently couldn’t contain his “swagger” with the host.

The two-time NBA champion repeatedly flirted with Adams, invited her to attend one of his games in Houston, and even suggested the two could share some barbecue.

The four-time league scoring champ was clearly shooting his shot once more.

Adams kicked off the segment by reminding Durant that he had ignored her wave when she previously attended a game of his.

“I came to a game and you did not even… You literally would not even wave,” she said. Durant countered that he didn’t have a proper heads up to which Adams replied, “Kevin, I think I literally told you I was at the game, I said ‘See you tonight!'”

Kevin Durant makes the move

Undaunted by the revelation that he had already snubbed Adams, Durant made his move, suggesting they go for barbecue in Texas to experience the city’s Southern hospitality.

The exchange quickly went viral.

“It’s all good, that’s old news,” he said of the previous snub. “We’re moving on to the next season, and I’ll see you at one of these games in Houston. We’re going for barbecue down in Texas when you get out here.”

Durant urged her to immerse herself in the local culture – with him, of course.

“You gon’ see once you get down here, I ain’t gonna keep telling you, you’re just gonna have to immerse yourself in the culture once you get down here,” he insisted.

What a legend!

Kay Adams remains skeptical

For what it’s worth, Adams seemed skeptical of Kevin Durant’s overtures and rebuffed the effort on his part to score a BBQ date with the sports siren.

“I feel likeโ€ฆ fool me onceโ€ฆ fool me twice,” she countered.

“Wow… alright, bye, Kay,” Durant answered.

Poor guy.

The Rockets’ star made some headlines last summer when he gave a viral response to what it’s like to represent America in the Olympics.

โ€œA lot of bulls*** happens in our country,โ€ he told reporters. โ€œBut a lot of great things happen, too.โ€

Which could be said for his interview with Kay Adams – a lot of bullstuff happened, but there were a lot of great things, too.
