Fast forward nearly 40 years, and Jordan is still considered to be among the most legendary professional athletes in North American sports history. His memorabilia is also among the most-valuable in the industry. In fact, his signed Fleer rookie card is currently being auctioned for $450,000.
We now have an even more rare piece of Jordan’s legacy set to go up for auction.

Rare Michael Jordan Game-Worn Nike Shoe Could Net $500,000 On Auction Block

Back in 1985 in a game against the Golden State Warriors, Jordan suffered a broken foot. It was the most serious injury of his legendary career.
He was wearing the black and red Nike Air Jordan 1’s when the injury happened. Those shoes are now available on auction at Lelands with an opening bid of $100,000.
Per TMZ Sports, it’s estimated that the kicks will ultimately sell for between $400,000 and $500,000.
The consignor’s father was friends with Jordan and had the shoes gifted to him after the game. The family had held on to them for decades before he ultimately decided to put them on the auction block.
