LeBron James took to social media over the weekend to share some old fashioned family values, praising his wife Savannah, who he’s been married to since 2013.
LeBron Praises Savannah
“The thing about it is, is that we just grew even stronger and tighter together!!” LeBron wrote, including a queen and king emoji in an apparent reference to his King James nickname. LeBron went on to say that the love he shares with Savannah can’t be messed with.
“Love you my Queen!” he continued. “Ruler of the Kingdom.”
LeBron, 40, wrote this alongside photos of himself and Savannah courtside at the Lakers’ 128-112 victory over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Saturday. Savannah, 38, could be seen wearing an oversized denim jacket and baggy jeans. Savannah went to this game with her close friend April McDaniel, who also co-hosts their “Everybody’s Crazy” podcast.
LeBron recorded 33 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds in this game against the Knicks, chalking up his 10th triple-double of the season.

LeBron And Savannah’s History
LeBron and Savannah met as teenagers. At the time, they were students at rival high schools in Akron, Ohio. Despite this, they fell in love, and they tied the knot in September of 2013. They are the parents of three children: LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., 20, Bryce Maximus, 17, and Zhuri Nova, 10.
Bronny is currently playing on the Lakers with LeBron. Indeed, Bronny was the Lakers’ 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. He then signed a four-year, $7.9 million guaranteed contract with the team. Meanwhile, Bryce is a senior shooting guard in Sierra Canyon, California. Last month, he officially committed to play for Arizona in college.
LeBron has often spoken out to gush over Savannah over the years. At the 2023 ESPYs, LeBron celebrated Savannah as he accepted an award for best record-breaking performance.
“For our family, no one has sacrificed more and more hard work to support this family more than you,” he told her at the time, “and I appreciate you for that, love you.”

Shocking Lakers Trade
This came hours before the Lakers shocked everyone by trading for the Mavericks star Luka Doncic. The Mavericks traded Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris to Los Angeles for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick.
“It was a big shock,” Luka admitted to ESPN after the trade was announced. “It was hard moments for me. I had to check if it was April 1. … [But now] I get to play in the greatest club in the world, and I’m excited for this new journey.”
“Honestly, it was hard at first,” he added. “That first day was really hard. I felt like these last 48 hours was one month. Emotionally, it was really hard, but today was much better. I’m just very happy to be here for this opportunity. This is the Lakers. It’s one of the best clubs in history, so I’m excited to be here.”
Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka spoke out to express his excitement at having Luka onboard.
“We have one of the game’s biggest superstars and an international player coming to join the Lakers,” he said. “I think it’s going to be something incredibly special that the NBA and basketball has never seen before.”
LeBron has yet to break his silence about the trades. Whether you’re a Lakers fan or not, it’s certainly nice to see how devoted he is to his wife!
