The cast of The Pat McAfee Show had a good chuckle over Arian Foster’s trolling of NFL fans who are crying foul on officiating following the AFC Championship Game.

Following some pretty sketchy calls in the fourth quarter, fans and observers all around the league began speculating that the game was ‘rigged’ – suggesting that the outcome had been pre-determined.
Two factors truly fueled that fire. Many people felt that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs were a better ‘sell’ for the Super Bowl, and therefore there was a push for them to be part of the Biggest Game of the Year. It also didn’t help that the three-point win by Kansas City covered most point spreads, as the line consistently hovered around -2.

With all that distrust in the air, former Houston Texans running back Arian Foster felt it was a good time to pounce on the paranoia.
Foster went on his podcast and (in incredibly sober fashion) told a tall tale about receiving scripts prior to the season, instructing everyone how the year would go and what their roles would be. It was almost as good as an old man’s fish tale or a farmer’s story about spotting a UFO.
Most of all it was great theater and wonderful satire, especially amidst all the carping and caterwauling that came out of Sunday’s action.
Unfortunately, some didn’t quite pick up on the sarcasm and truly believed that Foster was making this allegation. He even responded via social media to the initial reports that he was equating the League with pro-wrestling-style storylines.
To Raphousetv he responded with a number of laughing emojis.

He also responded to Sports Illustrated with a meme reading, “Things are getting out of hand.”

Like a good prank gone bad, Arian Foster’s joke started to get legs of its own. Still, the ridiculousness of it all was not lost on him.
While some may not have picked up on his sarcasm, the guys from The Pat McAfee Show certainly did. In particular, fill-in lead host AJ Hawke, a former NFL player himself, found humor in the notion.
Foster emerged as a star player for the Texans after initially going undrafted. The Tennessee product ran for over 1,000 yards in four out of five years from 2010-2014. His career high of 1616 yards on the ground in 2010 remains the Houston franchise single-season record. He also holds the team marks for career yards (6,472) and touchdowns (54).
After spending three straight campaigns on a downward spiral, he left H-Town for one final, uneventful season in Miami. He retired in 2016.

Following his career in The League, Arian Foster has remained a showman. He has a music career under the alter ego, Bobby Feeno, and released his debut album, Flamingo & Koval, in 2018.
The former ball carrier also hosts the Macrodosing podcast for Barstool Sports, where he made told his ‘scripted’ story.
