Jackson Mahomes, the brother of reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes, will not face legal action for the most serious of his multiple allegations
Jackson Mahomes was facing an allegation of sexually assaulting the owner of Aspens Restaurant and Lounge near Kansas City. However, law enforcement officials have notified him that he will not be prosecuted on those charges.
Jackson Mahomes Was Facing Serious Charges
The social media influencer, vlogger, and younger brother of the Chiefs’ QB was arrested in May of last year and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and a fourth count of misdemeanor battery.
Video of the incident appears to show him forcibly kissing a woman – who was later identified as the restaurant’s owner. The clip was posted on social media and (of course) went immediately viral.
However, attorneys for Mahomes say the video is “misleading”.

Legal Issues Remain For Jackson Mahomes
“We have provided law enforcement with the tools and evidence they need to evaluate the claims against Jackson,” the statement said. “Every interaction between people needs to be placed in the proper context.”
“Releasing a short clip of any video does not provide proper context. We have faith in the process and look forward to swiftly resolving the matter.”
While Jackson Mahomes will not face any of the more serious felony charges, he could still be convicted of the misdemeanor battery charge. Assistant District Attorney Megan Ahsens told the Kansas City Star that they “were prepared to proceed with the case because victims recant or become uncooperative for a host of reasons, and that does not mean that the original account to law enforcement was inaccurate.”
