With Shedeur Sanders’ brother Shilo unable to land an NFL job, the former Colorado Buffaloes player had nothing better to do and duped Cleveland Browns fans at this weekend’s game by impersonating his more talented sibling.
On Sunday, the Browns were in Pittsburgh to take on division rivals the Steelers. The game had added intrigue because there was a possibility that Sanders might make his regular season debut if the game got out of hand. Earlier in the week, he was elevated to the QB2 spot after Cleveland traded former starter Joe Flacco to the Bengals.
With more eyeballs on the lookout for Sanders, his brother Shilo decided to test how well Steelers and Browns fans knew the Shedeur’s face by impersonating him in and outside Acrisure Stadium. And sadly many of those who encountered him could not tell the difference between the two.
Shilo Sanders cosplays as brother Shedeur
In the video posted to his YouTube page, the older Sanders sibling dressed up in his brothers jersey, and practice short, and decked out with Shedeur’s typical shades and giant “Legendary” necklace. Considering he does resemble his brother a bit, the cosplay worked as quite a few Steelers and Browns fans were dumb enough to actually believe the NFL rookie was randomly walking in and around the arena before he was set to be the backup in his team’s game against the Steelers.
The real Shedeur eventually makes an appearance later in the video and Shilo gets a good laugh out of the fact that his brother didn’t even need to take a shower after the game since he didn’t break a sweat watching Dillon Gabriel start at QB for the entire game.
Shilo Sanders went undraft in April’s annual NFL Draft. After getting picked up by the Buccaneers in the summer, the was eventually cut by the team after being ejected for throwing a punch in their final preseason game.
