If Bryce Young collectors aren’t yet in panic mode, they soon will be. The beleaguered Carolina Panthers quarterback has seen the value of his rookie cards fall precipitously over the past year due to his poor play.
The top pick of the 2023 NFL Draft hasn’t lived up to his billing yet. The Panthers traded wide receiver D.J. Moore and a trove of picks, including what turned out to be the No. 1 overall pick in 2024, to the Chicago Bears to take Young. What makes matters worse is the very next pick, Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, is playing like a future MVP.
Young’s rookie season was an unmitigated disaster. He went 2-14 in his 16 starts and threw just 11 touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions. He was also sacked a whopping 62 times. His second season didn’t start off much better.

In the Panthers’ 47-10 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Young was intercepted twice and sacked four times. He didn’t throw a touchdown. Because of his struggles, the value of Young’s cards has plummeted. According to Market Movers, the price of Young’s 2023 Panini Prizm PSA 10 rookie card has dropped 60 percent over the last year.
Overall, Young’s cards have seen a 38 percent decline in price. The average sale price is around $50 currently.
Young’s most expensive card to date is his 2023 Panini Prizm Variation Black Finite 1/1 rookie card, graded PSA 10. It sold for $35,700 in March. Unfortunately, with the way Young’s career has been, that collector will not be able to recoup the money he put down for the card.
