Yesterday, we reported that Caitlyn Jenner had said “good riddance” in response to the death of OJ Simpson. The former NFL star died on Wednesday night at the age of 76 after a battle with prostate cancer.

Now, Jenner is fighting back after being compared to Simpson. The reason? The fatal car crash that she was involved in back in 2015.

One social media responded to this by saying, “didn’t you kill someone too,” drawing a comparison between the fatal car crash that Jenner was involved in nine years ago that claimed the life of Kim Howe and the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, which many believe Simpson committed.

“I know you all think it’s cute to compare a fatal car accident (with multiple vehicles involved) to a BRUTAL MURDER,” Jenner fired back. “But Remember… OJ said something to the effect of… I could kill her (Nicole) and get away with it bc I’m #OJSimpson.”

Social Media Users Respond

Many social media users, however, were not having any of it.

“Rest in peace to Kim Howe, the woman killed in a multi-car crash caused by Caitlyn Jenner,” one user wrote, with another adding, “I’m sure the family of that person you ran over, can’t WAIT to say the same about you!”

“YOU still were the CAUSE of the accident and YOU were the CAUSE of someone’s DEATH AND paid your way out of it,” commented a third user. “No THAT isn’t cute at all. Hypocrite. Never did like you as Caitlyn.”

Others, however, defended Jenner, 74, with one person saying that “a car accident is hardly equivalent to double brutal murder.”

“How can you compare a car accident to a murder? Haters all of them,” someone else commented.

Jenner’s Car Crash

The Austin American Statesman reported that back in 2015, Jenner was driving an SUV on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu when she rear-ended Howe’s Lexus, pushing it into incoming traffic. The Lexus was hit by a Hummer traveling in the opposite direction. Jenner kept going and hit another vehicle, a Prius, whose driver suffered mild injuries. Howe, however, was killed on impact.

Jenner blamed the paparazzi for the crash. Her lawyers claimed that she was being chased and harassed “up through the time of the incident.”

Jenner’s attorneys went on to argue that she was “driving her vehicle consistent with all laws and speed limits, that she was “visually distracted.” Members of the paparazzi “did contribute to the cause of an accident, where seconds and split seconds mattered.”

After investigating the crash, the DA decided not to charge Jenner.

Jenner was married to Brown’s best friend Kris Jenner at the time of the infamous 1994 murders. Prior to the murders, the Simpsons and Kardashian-Jenners vacationed together frequently with their children.

Kris’s husband Robert Kardashian would go on to represent Simpson in his infamous murder trial.

Jenner slammed Simpson in her autobiography “The Secrets Of My Life,” saying that “he was the most narcissistic, egocentric, neediest a***ole in the world of sports I had ever seen, and I had seen a lot of them.”

Simpson’s Death

Simpson’s death was announced by his family on Thursday morning.

“On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer,” they said in a statement. “He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.”

“During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace. -The Simpson Family,” they added.

Whether you like Jenner or not, it does seem rather ridiculous to compare one of the most brutal murders in American history to a car crash that was an accident. This does go to show, however, that Jenner will likely never live that car crash down.
