Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is once again making waves, and this time, it’s sending shockwaves through left-leaning circles and perhaps even some Taylor Swift fans.
According to Breitbart, the committed Christian athlete, who has ruffled feathers before with his outspoken views on traditional values, was recently spotted at a live event hosted by conservative commentator Tucker Carlson.
Butker first stirred up liberal outrage earlier this year when he delivered a commencement speech at Benedictine College in Kansas, where he praised traditional family values.
Since then, many on the left have been gunning for him, trying to get the Chiefs to cut ties with their star kicker. However, Butker has remained true to his beliefs, showing no signs of backing down.

The latest controversy erupted when Butker posed for a photo backstage at Carlson’s event alongside the host and podcaster Megyn Kelly, and Carlson shared it on his Instagram account.
Breitbart notes that Kelly had just recently taken Swift to task on her podcast for supporting Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential race, calling the pop star and her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, “elite snobs” who are disconnected from the struggles of ordinary Americans.

Kelly also accused Swift and Kelce of being “too obsessed with their money” to recognize the problems facing the country.
Between Butker’s presence at the conservative event and Kelly’s pointed critique of Swift and Kelce, it’s safe to say that the online discourse around this trio will continue to spark heated debate. As for Butker, the NFL star is standing firm, unapologetically aligning himself with those who share his values, regardless of the backlash.
