Bad Bunny is going to have an aneurysm when he hears this.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confirmed that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents will conduct active operations at Super Bowl LX on February 8th.

That’s right, a Super Bowl featuring the New England Patriots will include some other patriots of a different stripe. The football Patriots will face off against the Seattle Seahawks in what promises to be a high-stakes showdown on the field.

Off the field, ICE will maintain a visible presence around the venue before the game. DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin told TMZ Sports about the plan.

“DHS is committed to working with our local and federal partners to ensure the Super Bowl is safe for everyone involved, as we do with every major sporting event, including the World Cup,” she said. “Our mission remains unchanged.”

ICE Super Bowl Enforcement Hits Hard – Bad Bunny Might Have an Aneurysm Over This One

This move aligns with a direct presidential directive emphasizing that no location—including major sporting events—will serve as a safe haven for individuals in the country illegally.

DHS officials stressed that operations will coordinate with local and federal partners to prioritize public safety, mirroring protocols used at events like the World Cup.

Seems reasonable to most people. But this is sure to stick in the craw of Bad Bunny, the Super Bowl halftime performer. Since he specifically complained about ICE enforcing immigration laws at his shows.

Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, criticized law enforcement efforts to clean up the streets of criminals at his concerts.

“There was the issue of — like, (expletive) ICE could be outside my concert,” he said in an interview with Variety. “It was something we were very concerned about.”

Guess what? ICE will be outside your Super Bowl concert.

Mr. Bunny and his fans, though, have nothing to worry about, according to McLaughlin. Just as nobody across the country has anything to worry about, so long as they’ve entered the country legally and don’t have a criminal history.

“Those who are here legally and are not breaking other laws have nothing to fear,” she told TMZ.

“We will not disclose future operations or discuss personnel. Super Bowl security will entail a whole-of-government response conducted in line with the U.S. Constitution,” added McLaughlin.

Reports of ICE carrying on their mission at the Super Bowl come as numerous athletes have sided with criminals and called for the agency to be abolished.
