A former New York Jets gameday host, who accused Brett Favre of sending her explicit text messages, calls it “karma” that the Hall of Fame quarterback has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
Sterger had her life and career upended after Favre allegedly sent her inappropriate photos and messages during his only season with the Jets in 2008. After the accusations became public, she said she became “wrongfully cancelled.”
Now, with Favre revealing his Parkinson’s diagnosis during a congressional hearing about welfare misspending and reform, Sterger showed no sympathy for him.
“PSA: Please don’t send me links to it. I’ve seen it. I can read,” Sterger wrote on her Instagram story, via the New York Post. “I don’t wish bad things on anyone, but I know Karma never forgets an address. Imagine being diagnosed with such a terrible disease and not having the resources to fight it bc some Hall-of-Fame quarterback stole it?
“Those are the people that need your attention, support, and sympathy. And at least now, his pictures won’t be in focus. Mississippi you deserve better.”
Favre was on Capitol Hill as he’s been accused of obtaining $5 million in welfare funds from the state of Mississippi. He has denied wrongdoing and hasn’t been charged with a crime.
During his testimony, Favre, who is only 54, shocked the world when he announced he had the chronic brain disease.

“Sadly, I also lost an investment in a company [Prevacus] that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug I thought would help others,” Favre said at the hearing. “I’m sure you’ll understand, while it’s too late for me because I’ve recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, this is also a cause dear to my heart.”
How many concussions did Brett Favre have?
Favre told TMZ he believes he might have suffered over 1,000 concussions during his career.
Following the hearing, Favre thanked his fans for their well-wishes.
Wow, what an overwhelming amount of support from you all.

“Unbelievable show of support. I want you to know I truly appreciate it,” Favre said in a video posted on social media. “Hopefully, this will shed some light on concussions and head trauma, and also Parkinson’s.”
Favre was a three-time MVP and one-time Super Bowl champion during his 20 NFL seasons.
