Here in Titletown, USA, there is no “off season.”
I mean really. There’s just no such thing. It’s a 24/7/365 job, even for (or maybe especially for) fans.
But this hype video Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love just dropped has me and my fellow Cheeseheads circling August 10th on the calendar and researching time machines.
Even if you’re not a Packers fan (or maybe if your team shares some of our nemeses), this should get you hyped for the football season.

Jordan Love Drops Wild Packers Hype Video
Now, as all fans are aware, QB1 had a great season last year – his first as a starter but fourth in the league.
While Love and the Packers got off to quite the slow start, during the second half of the season they really poured it on, making the playoffs and blowing the hapless Cowboys right out of Arlington before yet another heartbreaker to the stinkin’ lousy 49ers.
But what we all wanted to know was whether or not Love is the guy.
Even with that slow start to the season, Love ended up throwing over 4,000 yards, with 32 touchdowns against just 11 picks. 20 of those tuddies came after Week 10 when the Packers seemed to right the ship.
And that’s with a supporting cast of pass-catchers made up entirely of rookies and second-year guys.
What would his numbers have been if the Packers had been up to speed all season? That’s what Love is hinting at in his video.
Take a watch:
That’s a perfect encapsulation of the season. The doubters and the haters had a field day – with Colin Cowherd even calling Jordan Love a draft bust! – during the first half of the season.
And then… ZANG.

Is Love THE Guy?
Much to the chagrin of Bears and Cowboys fans, so far it looks like the Packers may have struck quarterback gold for a third time in a row.
Love is no systems qb, even if coach Matt LaFleur’s system makes for a lot of wide open receivers. He changes plays, he’s recognizing defenses, and he’s making broken plays like a seasoned vet.
That’s why all the talk is about Love’s contract extension – and the magic number $50 million.
I’ll be the first to say, I don’t know if he’s ready for one of the biggest contracts in football. I want to see another season.
But let me tell you something. After watching that hype video, August can’t come fast enough. There aren’t enough practices or bike rides in the world for that kind of smoke.
