Legendary quarterback Brett Favre says fans will point the finger at Travis Kelce’s girlfriend if KC can’t repeat

It’s been a made-for-TV romance between pop megastar Taylor Swift and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The relationship between the world’s most famous singer and the All-Pro player captured the imaginations of the NFL universe, as she regularly attended his games down the stretch. But Hall of Famer Brett Favre says she’s facing a lot of potential criticism if Kansas City doesn’t win the Super Bowl this year.

Is It The End Of The ‘Chiefs Era’?

When speaking with TMZ Sports, the three-time NFL MVP said that he still considered Kansas City to be the favorite to win the franchise’s third Lombardi Trophy in the past five seasons.

But after pointing out the amount of scrutiny the star brings along with her – Favre believes many observers will lay the blame at Swift’s doorstep if the team can’t reach the goalline this year.

“If they don’t win it,” Brett Favre said about Taylor Swift’s looming presence with the Chiefs, “…or get to the Super Bowl, people are going to say, ‘That’s why.’”

Struggling Down The Stretch

The gun-slinging great just might be on to something. As Swift became more of a presence with the club, they struggled a bit on the field. The Chiefs have posted a modest 5-5 record since the Travis-Taylor relationship became public. Even still, she was in attendance during Saturday night’s frigid first-round win over the Dolphins, 26-7.

In that game, Travis Kelce had seven catches for 71 yards, as his superstar girlfriend watched. Just a few more wins to go and ‘Team T & T’ will silence Brett Favre… and any potential critics.
